Good Morning!
Like you, I have a pretty busy life. I am a husband, a father, and a grandfather. I work at Boston College. I am also a deacon ordained to serve in the Archdiocese of Boston. After five years with a wonderful parish community in the
suburbs I asked to be assigned to this new collaborative in South Boston and, thankfully, Cardinal Sean agreed.
As your deacon I pray with you on Sundays when we receive food for the journey and when we nourish one another with our friendship and support. I am also privileged to pray with you on some of your most important days; the day you baptize your child, your wedding day, the day when you say good bye to a family member or friend who has gone home to God. All of these moments are sacred to me.
As deacon my MOST important duty is to see and to
hear. I am ordained to see the men, women, and children who others overlook; the ones who live in the shadows; the ones who others push away. I am called to hear their voice and learn from their stories - the stories of the poor and the forgotten; the stories of the homeless; the stories of the refugee and the victim of violence. Jesus entered their homes and listened to their stories. Jesus brought them out from the shadows and lifted them up and promised them that God has not forgotten them. And Jesus told us to “go and do the same”. That is why I am here.
Deacon Paul Kline
¡Buenos días!
Como ustedes, tengo una vida muy ocupada. Yo soy esposo, padre, y abuelo.
Deacon Paul Kline

Good Friday Walk
March 25 South Boston
11:00 am
On the morning of Good Friday, Christians from all over South Boston braved the cold and the rain to pray the Stations of the Cross all around our neighborhood. It was a beautiful mix of communities, languages and spiritualities.
Most importantly it was a real witness to the unifying power of Christ’s love and sacrifice. We hope you will join us next year!

Camino de Viernes Santo
25 de marzo South Boston
11:00 am

Reactions to Holy week “It was great to see all the different communities represented throughout the weekend.”
The cantor’s rendition of "Alleluia" was breathtaking and was a beautiful
cap to the service. The Easter Vigil is my favorite service of the entire year and this year did not disappoint. The service was joyful and spiritual. Loved the music.
It is always so peaceful to sit in the dark and then have each of our candles lit from one another — creating such a community.
[At the Vigil] Father Flavin’s homily transported me into the place of the Disciples who truly had experienced the worst week of their lives. Easter, and the Risen Christ, reinstated their light as He should for all of us.
I loved when the Deacon sang at the Vigil. He was really good!
At every service it seemed like everyone preaching from the heart. That really helped me pray.
