The main purpose of this discussion is that of throwing light on the following questions:
Which cases of emphatic and stylised boundary tones could be classified as dialect-specific and should therefore be labelled in a more detailed way?
And in this context, is the tone inventory of Sp-ToBI flexible enough?
Labelling difficulties in cases of complex pitch movements will be exemplified by means of fragments extracted from a new corpus of conversations recorded in Mexico City.
