Summary
As a candidate of next generation neutrino/nucleon decay detector, KEK neutrino group is interested in Liquid Argon TPC.
We have built a 10L test chamber Successfully observed cosmic muons Took data for ~20 hours without major degradation of the
signal Comparison of the signal charge between data and MC pr
ediction shows we have already obtained good liquid Argon purity (<10 ppb)

液化能力テスト まずは、安価な窒素を用いて液化能
力の検証を行った。 テスト容器を液体窒素で満たした浴
槽に固定する 気体窒素をテスト容器内に送り込む
容器内の圧力は 1.4気圧程度 容器内に挿入した液面計で液化速度
を測定。 使用した気体量から液体量を推測す
ることも可能。 1時間当たりに
4 cm、 1.3L の液体を生成 20 kgf/cm2、 1m3の気体を使用
当面の実験には十分な液化速度が得られた
液化速度を改善する方法 液化時の容器内圧力を上げる 浴槽中の液体とテスト容器の熱交換の効率を上げる

真空テスト 油回転ポンプ+ターボ分子ポンプ
油回転ポンプはオイルの逆流が問題となるので、ドライスクロールポンプを購入予定
ターボ分子ポンプをできるかぎり容器に近づけることにより、達成真空度は飛躍的に向上する。
リボンヒーターにより容器を 100℃までベーキング
到達真空度( 20℃) : 6x10-4 Pa アウトガス速度 : 0.2 Pa/hour
テスト容器を液体アルゴンに完全に浸した場合、真空が大きく破れる ガスケット (銅 )とフランジ (S
US)の熱膨張率の違いから生じた隙間に、液体アルゴンが入り込み容器内で気化していると思われる。

まずは必要かどうか判断 左図 (循環純化装置の例) → ゲッターと呼ばれるフィルタ → 気体循環ポンプ 右図 → 浴槽を使うスキームを使う場合、冷却能力
を上げるための工夫
