GUIDED BY,
P.MAHADEVAN. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR.
Aim and scope of the project:
1. To conduct different level
competition within college, school
premises.
2. Students must actively participate in
sports events.
3. It should accommodate large
spectators to view.
STAAD Pro:
• Structural Analysis And Design Program
• Analysis of the structure through staad.
• Aquire the various design values for the structure
• Requires less duration to analysis and design.
• More accuracy based on the values Feed to the
computer.
Method of design:
• Limit state method of design
• The values of loadings were calculated as per
practical considerations for a unit area of
structure and it is multiplied over the entire
structure.
• The design is carried out satisfying the codal
requirements without fail over the entire
structure.
Codes used:
• I. IS 875 (part 1) 1987 CODE OF PRACTICE FOR DEAD LOADS.
• II. IS 875 (part 2) 1987 CODE OF PRACTICE FOR IMPOSED
LOADS.
• III. IS 875 (part 3) 1987 CODE OF PRACTICE FOR WIND LOADS.
• IV. IS 456: 2000 PLAIN & R.C.C CODE OF PRACTICE.
• V. IS 800: 2007 STEEL CODE OF PRACTICE.
Types of loadings over the structure:
Dead loadself weight of the structure + specific unit weight of the materials
used in structure
Live loadweight of the spectators + other equipments,
machineries+etc.,
Wind loadDynamic load acting over the structure.
3d model of the gallery through the staad pro.
