DESCA CHEMTECH CONFERENCE
The ChemTech Conference, is organized by DESCA together with a committee of industry leaders in the
chemical, advanced materials, animal health & nutrition, and technology industries. Located in Delaware,
DESCA is in the heart of the chemical industry. Given the presence of many of world’s largest and most
respected chemical, biochemical, advanced materials, and agriscience corporations in the region, together
with a legacy of innovation, and access to over 250 advanced degrees in chemistry, agricultural engineering
and biochemistry alone at colleges and universities within Delaware and the surrounding region, we are seeing
a new legacy of ChemTech and sustainability evolve before us.
Since last year’s event, we’ve seen how the COVID-
19 pandemic has not only accelerated the adoption
of digital technologies, but also highlighted
operational challenges within our industry. This
year’s event will focus on both the successes and
the challenges that we have seen over the last year
as we speak with the experts that are re-inventing
the chemical and biochemical industries through
technology.
In our inaugural ChemTech Conference last year
we discussed the evolution of the commodity
chemical industry—not just locally but globally—as
new customer and process data are enabling
manufacturers to develop higher value product
offerings and improve operational efficiencies.
ACCELERATED ADOPTION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES
and EMERGING CHALLENGES
SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION
How can we build transparent, lean and resilient supply chains that create value,
enable M&A and cope with market uncertainties?
MACHINE LEARNING & MANUFACTURING
Our industry leaders and experts discuss how manufacturers are improving
operations through digital twins, predictive analytics and predictive yield.
FORMULATION MODELS & INNOVATION
Formulation models and other in-silico methods are increasingly being used to
accelerate early state innovation, and were instrumental in the development of
COVID-19 vaccines. Our panel discusses how these digital tools can be leveraged
to optimize early stage innovation.
PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS & INNOVATION
Big data aggregation and analysis play a central role in business model and product
launch strategy for traditional B2C but are less prevalent in B2B. Our panelists discuss
how these tools are increasingly being leveraged as B2B business models evolve.
CYBERSECURITY & INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS
As more and more companies move to automation and industrial control systems,
this can have a significant impact on company cybersecurity. Our panel discusses
tools and best practices to mitigate risk.
