Implants from £1500
Implant retained dentures from £1900
A dental implant is a titanium metal rod which is placed into the jawbone. It isused to support one or more false teeth. Implants are a well-established, tried-and-tested treatment. Over 95 per cent of modern implants should last for manyyears with the right care.
Mini implants consist of a miniaturetitanium implant that acts like the rootof your tooth and an O-ring that isincorporated into the base of yourdenture. This makes your denture muchmore stable and stops it coming out atembarrassing times. It allows smallmovements of the denture but will notallow the denture to fall out unless youwant to remove it.
Mini implants allow you to chew all sortsof foods that you may not have had inyears, such as steaks and maybe evenchewing gum!

What is gum disease?Gum disease is swelling, soreness or infection of the tissues supporting the teeth. There are two main forms of gum disease: gingivitis and periodontal disease.
What is gingivitis?Gingivitis means inflammation of the gums caused by plaque bacteria. This iswhen the gums around the teeth become very red and swollen. Often the swollengums bleed when they are brushed during cleaning.
What is periodontal disease?Long-standing gingivitis can turn into periodontal disease. There are a number oftypes of periodontal disease and they all affect the tissues supporting the teeth. As the disease gets worse the bone anchoring the teeth in the jaw is lost, makingthe teeth loose. If this is not treated, the teeth may eventually fall out. In fact, more teeth are lost through periodontal disease than through tooth decay.
