Local Tobacco Control Profiles
Darlington
Introduction
The aim of these profiles is to provide information for local government, health organisations, commissioners and otheragencies to monitor the impact of tobacco on local communities, and to monitor the services and initiatives that havebeen put in place to tackle tobacco related problems.
The indicators contained within the web-tool were selected following consultation with stakeholders and a review of theavailability of routine data. They are not exhaustive and should be used alongside local intelligence to gain a full picture ofthe range of tobacco control initiatives and issues in each locality.
The tobacco control profiles are part of a series of products produced by Public Health England that provide local dataalongside national comparisons to support local health improvement.
