Ms McCormick said theboys had struck a chord withthe students, some of whomhad already donated moneyto adopt an orang-utan andsorted out unused clothes togive away.

Daniel said the presen-tation had resulted in a lot ofpositive feedback from thestudents.

“We went down for thewhole day and it was quitedifferent to what we’re usedto, but we completely lovedit,’’ Daniel said.

“For me, it was the bestschool talk that I havedone.”

His younger brother saidit was amazing to see kidsunderstanding the message,and was grateful that theschool had welcomed them.

“We’re doing what wewant to do and what we lovedoing,” William said.

“We knew we’d get to thisstage; we just didn’t knowthat we’d get to this stage soquickly.”

William said the pairhoped for another oppor-tunity to visit schools acrossMelbourne.

Sydney brothers DanielClarke, 17, and WilliamClarke, 15, have become re-nowned for their passion toboth save the animals fromextinction and motivate kidsto make a difference in theirown communities.

Daniel, who has cerebralpalsy, used his StarlightFoundation wish to save theBorneo orang-utans, withthe pair raising more than$705,000 so far.

They visited Our Lady’sPrimary School in Craigie-burn recently, presenting anumber of sessions for thestudents and class leaders.

Religious education lead-er Mary McCormick said thestudents were captivatedlearning about the boys’ pas-sion and motivation.

“Our focus was on …orang-utans and saving(them), but it was more onthe fact that kids could makea difference,” she said.

“Their job is to go back totheir classrooms and to keepthe discussion going.”
