My design proposal for Leek Public Realm Regeneration project Leek Public Realm on site
I N T R O D U C E : MYSELFMYSELFMYSELFMYSELF
I like to believe I have a natural talent for modern design, my skills are
continuously utilised at my current practice. My distinct design style and
3D modelling skills have given me the opportunity to design some of our
largest and most prestigious projects to date, from multi-million pound
residential developments to healthcare facilities across the country. My
attributes as a designer have also enabled me to gain work for the
practice, with speculative sketches I have secured projects such as the
£1.4 million Leek Public Realm Regeneration scheme along with others.
My enthusiasm and desire to create new enervative ideas for all aspects
of architecture allows my designs to standout and resolve complex
issues. I strive to produce proposals that integrate with the landscape
and work with their urban setting to form modern architecture, which
improves their social and environmental context.
My professional ability as a designer, coupled with my friendly
personality allows me to communicate well with clients and build a
strong working relationship. I have attracted further commissions based
on our successful relationship and quality of work. With mostly
residential design experience I have acquired a good knowledge of
regulatory issues and design standards both in planning and building
regulations and work well with authorities and contractors to achieve the
best solutions.

My Stockport Renal Dialysis Unit design proposal
Stockport Renal Dialysis Unit construction, September 2012
After my successful design for Newcastle-under-Lyme School’s landscaped quad area we were invited to submit a design for a
teaching block in competition, unfortunately we were unsuccessful due to experience.
Currently running a couple of projects on site both over £300k and acting as job runner for the Leek
Regeneration works whilst working up designs for two large residential developments, I maintain
my professionalism as a Contract Administrator and lead a small team to produce inspiring
presentations to fulfil the new project briefs. My experience in management has given me the skills
to guide a team and encourage collective working whilst understanding the needs to deliver quality
efficiently. My organisation skills also sees me in charge of the practice’s CPD’s to ensure we
maintain professional development and achieve the RIBA requirements with interesting and
relevant seminars. I have taught architectural and urban design principles and 3D modelling
techniques to international company Wardell Armstrong’s Stoke-on-Trent based office.
Having designed a number a Renal Dialysis units, commercial buildings and school projects, I
believe I have a wide range of experience and I would like the opportunity to improve on this in
both the education sector and in urban design whilst continuing to use my residential experience.
My qualification as an architect is by no means the end of my education, it is a chance to fully
immerse myself in every aspect of architecture and be moulded into a professional who is an
integral part of the daily operation and management of the practice.
I have included a small selection of images and photographs within this curriculum vitae but would
like the opportunity to present my full portfolio and talk through my work.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
