Hello Division 32! Congratulations! School is almost out! Remember to end your school year with a blast and have some sort of bonding or end-of-the-year banquet. Even though school is out, remember to always serve your community; Love is Key! Plan some fun summer events, serve at your local clothing or food bank, or clean up a park.
This is also the time for us to thank all of the seniors who have made an impact on our clubs. Appreciate and thank them for all their contributions to your club. 2012 DISTRICT PROJECT KIWANIS CHILDREN’S CANCER PROGRAM
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program was founded by Past Governor Frank Morehouse of the Pacific Northwest district in 2010. Past Governor Frank’s inspiration was a young cancer patient named Penny. Past Governor Frank worked at the hospital where Penny stayed. Penny was diagnosed with a brain tumor and would require surgery and radiation therapy. Penny would visit Past Governor Frank during her hospital stays and talk about what was happening to her. Penny eventually lost her battle with cancer. The KCCP is dedicated to Penny’s memory.
Our new Governor of the Pacific Northwest
District, Giovanni McKenzie, saw the need
for this project. He is now making sure that it
his duty to have Key Clubbers across our
district know more about children’s cancer
and make our contribution to finding a cure.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The two greatest contributions you could make is to: •Help us educate! •Help us fundraise!

PARTNERS IN SERVICE: CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK
FOR CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS ACROSS THE NATION
HOW CMN HELPS
Children’s Miracle Network
Children's Miracle Network (CMN) was established nationally in 1983 to help children by actively supporting improved health care for millions of young people around the world. CMN's mission is to generate funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children served by its associated hospitals, now numbering more than 170 nationwide.
HOW DO KEY CLUBBERS HELP?
How we’ve helped
In 2009-10 Key Club and the Kiwanis family raised almost $1.8 million for Children's Miracle Network and their affiliated hospitals. For more than a decade, Key Club International has been supporting CMN by sponsoring fundraisers and participating in service projects involving CMN children’s hospitals.

HERSHEY’S GAMES 101
What does Key Club do?
As Hershey’s Track & Field Games celebrate its 35th birthday, Kiwanis International is thrilled to enter its first year of partnership with the program. It’s a fitting relationship: Kiwanis’ mission is to serve the children of the world, and now we’re putting that energy and commitment to work through Hershey’s own longstanding program. After all, physical fitness and a healthy outlook are important components in a child’s quality of life. That’s why participation in HTFG makes perfect sense for Kiwanis, which consists of nearly 600,000 volunteers dedicated to the improvement of children’s lives. In particular, support of HTFG will be an integral part of the efforts of Key Club International, our service organization for high school students. Key Clubs will join or initiate HTFG events in their local communities. They’ll help promote the events and build excitement. They’ll volunteer to help manage event activities, and they’ll invite adult Kiwanians to volunteer as well. Meanwhile, members of our other youth programs – including Builders Club for middle school students and Kiwanis Kids for elementary school students – are primed to participate as athletes. Throughout the Kiwanis family, people of all ages are eager to begin this new opportunity for service and fellowship. On behalf of all our members, thank you for the chance to help provide inspiration, service and great memories to young people in the Kiwanis family and beyond. Best Regards, Stan D. Soderstrom Executive Director, Kiwanis International

SEATTLE RALLY 2012 August 13th, 2012 @ Kent-Meridian HS
Dear Members, Officers, Advisors, and Guests:
I am pleased to invite you to the 2012 Seattle Rally Monday, August 13th 2011! Division 32 is honored to have been chosen as the host of this gathering and we have a lot in store. I hope you will join us in Kent and experience the excitement for service! The purpose of Seattle Rally is to first, accomplish training of incoming officers and acquaint them with their responsibilities. Second, we want to encourage spirit and excitement for the great opportunities in Key Club. Third, we want to encourage and promote great opportunities not only at the club level, but at the District and International level as well. Since Club officers play an essential role in leadership and service, we have selected former officers and current district board members to lead informative and entertaining workshops on the duties of the officer roles. Whether you’re members are a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Bulletin Editor, they will find an opportunity here to fulfill your goals. They will walk out more informed and prepared for the upcoming school year. And who knows? They may want to run for Lieutenant Governor or District executive office early next year! The possibilities are endless after they hear from our forum leaders of the greater Seattle area to create stronger and more involved leaders. Seattle rally is an energetic bonding time for everyone in attendance. You can think of it as a miniature District Convention. Get your entire division and club ready, and bring spirit gear! You group might just be the most enthusiastic of them all. You will find the Rally this year will be at Kent-Meridian High School and plenty of room to host hundreds of excited Key Clubbers. Send registration for each Key Clubber and their medical release form due sometime in August (TBD) to your Lieutenant Governor. Registration fee is $5 and at the door is $7 for any registration after the deadline. See you then! In Love and Service, Nguyen Huynh Lieutenant Governor Division 32 Pacific Northwest District Key Club International
