Cinnamon Life Complex, Colombo, Sri Lanka – integrating two
residential towers of 47 stories, one office tower of 33 stories, one
hotel with 900 rooms, one exhibition centre, one retail park and
parking for about 3.000 cars, adding up to a total construction
area of more than 400.000 m2 – structural engineer in AdF team
of Structural Engineer/Architect/Designer Cecil Balmond of
Balmond Studio (under construction).
International Airport of Santiago de Chile, Chile – Detail design of
the facades of the Airport. More than 20.000 m2 of facades
located in one of the most seismic world's regions. The steel
structure is composed of vierendeel trusses up to 19 m high that
are connected to the main structure by isolation devices that
allow the correct seismic insulation of the facade (under
construction).
Zimbo Project, Luanda Bay, Angola – integrating 2 residential
towers of 37 stories, 2 office towers of 32 stories, hotel of 37
stories, congress centre, underground parking, all occupying

residential building of 3 stories which is supported by the eight
prestressed beams of the roof of the auditorium – structural

3 railway Viaducts (Kinatoi, Zabaleta and Larrazábal), San
Sebastián, Spain, integrated in the high speed railway between
Vitória and San Sebastián, built by movable scaffolding system –
structural engineer in IDEAM design team (built)
Special overpass for high-speed railway, Madrid, Spain,
integrated in the high-speed railway between Madrid and Castilla
La Mancha; special overpass 162 m long, composed by several
precast and prestressed I beams with spans between 23 m and

Four railway Viaducts, Murcia, Spain, in the high-speed railway

Road Viaduct in A42 highway, Sigües, Spain – a steel-concrete
composite (double composite action) cell box girder with lateral
struts (total width 26 m) with typical spans of 86 m and without
expansion joints; columns height up to 40 m - detail design as
structural engineer in IDEAM design team (built in 2009)
Mina Apolo Viaduct, Belo Horizonte, Brazil – concrete box girder
cantilever bridge with 170 m main spans, with mineral conveyor
inside the box beam – structural engineer in AdF design team in
collaboration with IDEAM, developing the detail design of the
main structure and composite steel-concrete box girders of
access decks (project finished in 2012 but not yet built)
Road Viaduct, Cartagena da Índias, Colômbia – inside the
Ecopetrol refinery installations; a 350 m long viaduct comprising

Antioquia Offshore Harbour and Access Viaduct, Antioquia,
Colombia – scheme design in international design/built
competition, in 2016 for Mota-Engil. More than 154.000 m2 of
offshore Platform and Viaduct in concrete supported by 2000
steel piles driven up to 90 m deep in high seismic zone. Project
leader of AdF design team (not built)
Torrential water control along the 65 street in Barranquilla,
Colombia – Box-Culvert in concrete for conduction of torrential
waters along more than 2500 m until discharge in the Magdalena
river. Maximum project flow for a 100 year return period of about
82 m3 / s. Project leader of AdF design team (built in 2018)
