TheMightyCreatives,alongwiththeculturalpartnershaveputsignificantinvestmentintothedevelopmentofDerby’sCulturalCampus.Weareintheearlystagesofexploringthenotionthatourcity,richinculturalassetscanprovideschoolswithanunprecedentedculturalandcreativeservice;aservicethatisco-producedwithschools.Theculturalorganisationsinthecityareclosebothgeographicallyandinthewayweworktogether.Byworkingtogetherinthisway,ourambitionistocreateacollectiveofferofscaleandsubstanceandwherestudentscanlearninnewandengagingways.Wewanttoavoidduplicationofserviceandweaimtousedigitaltechnologytoconnecttherequirementsofschoolswithnewculturalsolutions.Atthecentreofthiscollectiveservicesitstheopportunityforschoolstoworkonreal-lifeprojectsthathelptoshapetheircityandatthesametimeenablestudentstodevelopemployabilityskillsfortheirfuturesandthefutureofDerby.

Overalljobpurpose
Youwillworkwiththemainculturalpartnersandpilotschools(includingyoungleadersinthoseschools)forayearinitiallytoleadthepilotphaseofthisproject.Youwilltestoutandproject-manageapproacheswithschoolsinordertoworkouthowacollectiveculturalservicecouldbedeliveredandwhatitcouldcomprise.Youwillleadonhowitcouldoperate,beresourced,costed,brandedandmarketedtoawideraudience.Ifsufficientresourcesaresecured,thepostwillbecontinued.
YouwillmainlybebasedinDerbyTheatrebutwillalsohaveaworkingspaceinDédaandQUAD.ThepostwillbemanagedbyCarolineBarth,HeadofLearningatDerbyTheatre.Thefour-dayworkingweekcanbeflexiblycarriedoutandthehoursaretobemanagedbythepostholdertobestservetheprogramme.
