1. 3. Operating the SafetyThewordspUSHFIREandpUSHSAFEareonthetriggerguard.ThepUSHFIREandpUSHSAFEindicatethesafetyconditionwhenpressedflushwiththetriggerguard.

A. To Put the Airgun “ON SAFE”: • Locatethesafetydirectlyinfrontofthetrigger. • ThesafetyisONandtheairgunis“ONSAFE”whenthesafetybuttonispushedfromthelefttotheright(NoRedShowing)(Fig.3A).

B. To Take the Airgun “OFF SAFE”: • ThesafetyisintheFIREor“OFFSAFE”positionwhenthesafetybuttonispushedfromtherighttotheleft(RedShowing)(Fig.3B).

• WhentheairgunisintheFIREor“OFFSAFE”positiontheairguncanbeaimedandthetriggercanbepulledandfiredifitischarged(filled)andloaded.

Likeallmechanicaldevices,anairgunsafetycanfail.Evenwhenthesafetyis“ONSAFE”,youshouldcontinuetohandletheairgunsafely.NEVERpointtheairgunatanyperson.NEVER pointtheairgunatanythingyoudonotintendtoshoot.4. Pumping the Airgun

CAUTION:Neverpumpyourairgunmorethan10times.Overpumpingcancausemajordamagetoyourairgun.Note:Youmustfollowtheproceduredescribedbelowforpumping,loadingandfiringyourairguneachtimeyoushoot.

• Firmlygriptheforearmandopenitallthewayuntilitstopsandthen,withasmoothstroke,returntheforearmtoitsoriginalclosedposition.

• Donottwisttheforearmwhilepumping,thismaycausetheforearmtobreak. • Makesuretouseatleastthreepumps(butnomorethan10)topreventapelletfromjamminginthebarrelafterfiring.

Reminder:Youmustfollowtheproceduredescribedaboveforpumping,loadingandfiringyourairgunforeachshot.5. Loading and Unloading BBsYourairgunwasdesignedtoworkwithCrosmanbrandedammunition.TheseincludeCROSMAN,COppERHEAD,andBENJAMIN.Useofotherammunitionmaydamageyourgunandmayvoidyourwarranty.

Loading BBs • puttheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep3A). • pointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTION. • LocatetheBBloadingportontheleftsideofthereceiver(Fig.5). • Slidetheloadingportcovertowardtherearoftheairgun. • pourBBsintothereservoir.FillthereservoirwithBBsonly.Useofpelletswilljamthereservoir. • Closetheloadingportcover. • SlidetheBBretainerbuttonforward(Fig.6). • pointthebarrelstraightdown. • Withahandtwistingmotion,shakeandtwisttheairgun(SeeFig.7)tofillthevisualmagazine. • SlidetheBBretainerbuttonbacktokeeptheBBsinthemagazine. • positiontheEMpTYpelletclipsothattheboltwillfeedthroughoneofthepelletchambers. • Withthebarreltilteddownward,cocktheboltbypullingitallthewayback(twoclicks)andthenpushingitallthewayforward.ThemagneticboltwillpickupaBB.(Asyoupushtheboltforwardslowly,youcanseetheBBmovethroughthepelletclip).

• TheBBisnowinpositiontobefiredoutofthebarrelafterreadingandfollowingsection6onaimingandfiringsafely.Note:BBswillnottransferfromthemagazinetothebarreliftheairgunistiltedupward.

B. Unloading BBs by Firing • puttheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep3A). • pushtheBBretainerbuttonforward(Fig.6). • Tiltthebarrelupward. • Withahandtwistingmotion,shakeandtwisttheairgununtilALLoftheBBsareoutofthevisualmagazine. • pulltheBBretainerbuttonbacktoblockBBsfromre-enteringthevisualmagazine. • Tilttheairgun(barreldownward),pointinginaSAFEDIRECTION. • pulltheboltallthewayback(twoclicks)andthenslowlyforwardlookingtoseeifthereisaBBonthemagneticbolt. • Ifyourairgunisnotpumped,followsection3onpumpingyourairgun. • pointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTION;take“OFFSAFE”(SeeStep3B)andfire.ThiswillunloadtheBBfromthemagneticbolt. • RepeatthisunloadingprocedureuntilnoBBsarevisibleonthemagneticbolt.

REMEMBER:BBswillnottransferfromthemagazinetothebarreliftheairgunistiltedupward. • ToremoveBBsfromreservoir-openloadingportcover,turngunsotheholeisfacingdownandshakethegununtilyounolongerhearBBsinthereservoir.

REMEMBER TO ALWAYS TREAT YOUR AIRGUN AS IF IT IS LOADED.

6. Loading and Unloading PelletsYourairgunwasdesignedtoworkwithCrosman®,Copperhead®andBenjamin®ammunition.

IMPORTANT:Toavoidjamsordeformingpellets,makesureeachpelletskirtisflushorslightlybelowthesurfaceoftheclip. • pulltheboltallthewayback. • placethepelletclipintothegunasshowninfigure9,makingsuretolineuponeofthepelletchamberswiththebarrelchamber.

IMPORTANT:Ifthepelletclipisnotlinedupproperly,youwillnotbeabletopushtheboltforward. • pushtheboltallthewayforward.Thepelletisnowinapositiontofireoutofthebarrelafterreadingandfollowingsection6onaimingandfiringsafely.

B. Unloading Pellets • puttheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep3A). • pulltheboltallthewayback. • Removethepelletclip.

IMPORTANT:Neverusesharpmetaltoolstoremovepellets. • Laytheclipaside. • Withtheairgun“ONSAFE”(SeeStep3A),pumptheairgunthreetimes(SeeStep4)andcocktheboltbypullingitallthewaybackandpushingitforward.

• Taketheairgun“OFFSAFE”(SeeStep3B),pointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTIONandpullthetriggertofire. • puttheairgun“ONSAFE”. • AnotherwayofunloadingtheairgunistofollowthedirectionslistedunderStep8RemovingaJammedBBorpellet.

7. Aiming and Firing SafelyA. Aiming the Airgun

• AlwayspointyourairguninaSAFEDIRECTION. • Youandotherswithyoushouldalwayswearshootingglassestoprotectyoureyes. • Donotshootathardsurfacesoratthesurfaceofwater.TheBBorpelletmaybounceofforricochetandhitsomeoneorsomethingyouhadnotintendedtohit.

• Alwayschooseyourtargetcarefully.Forexample,youmaywishtoshootatpaperbullseyetargetsthatareattachedtoasafebackstopsuchastheCrosman0852pelletTrap(availableatcrosman.com).

• Yourairgunisdesignedfortargetshootingandissuitedforbothindoorandoutdooruse.Alwaysremembertoplaceyourtargetcarefully.THINKaboutwhatyouwillhitifyoumissthetarget.

• Followtheinstructionsforpumping(Section4)andloadingBB(Section5A)orpellets(Section6A). • Theairguniscorrectlyaimedwhenthefrontsightbladeispositionedexactlyinthecenteroftheapertureoftherearsight.Thetopofthefrontsightbladeshouldbeevenwiththetopoftheapertureintherearsight.Thebulls-eyeshouldappeartorestonthetopofthefrontsight.(Fig.10)Whenyouaresureofyourtargetandbackstop,andtheareaaroundthetargetisclear,taketheairgun“OFFSAFE”(Seesection3B)andpullthetriggertofire.

9. Maintaining Your Airgun • Beforeyouattempttooilyourairgun,makesurethegunis“ONSAFE”,unloadedandtheairhasbeenremoved(seeSection5Band6B).

• Yourairgunwillmaintainproperfunctionlongerifyouoilitevery250shots.putonedropofCrosman0241pellgunoil®(availableatcrosman.com)onthepumppivotpinsandthepumpcupinthepumpmechanism.(Fig14)DONOTusepetroleumdistillatebasedoilorsolventandDONOTover-oilasthiscancausedamagetoyourgun.

• Closetheforearm,pointtheairguninaSAFEDIRECTION,takeOFFSAFE,andpullthetrigger. • Alightcoatofpellgunoil®onthebarrelhelpspreventrust. • DONOTMODIFYORALTERYOURAIRGUN.Attemptstomodifytheairguninanywayinconsistentwiththismanualmaymakeyourairgununsafetouse,causeseriousinjuryordeath,andwillvoidthewarranty.
