EMPLOYMENT LAW CHALLENGES OF 2015
WEDNESDAY - NOVEMBER 5 - 8:45 AM
How new laws and court decisions will affect your company’s bottom line.
What are the emerging employment law trends and key challenges that businesses will face in 2015? Learn how these new changes may affect your business. What can your company do to comply with the law?
2014 lessons learned include
how companies need to deal lawfully with employees having disabilities,
medical marijuana, concealed carry, social media policies and changes in non-competition law where merely being employed is not sufficient consideration in many cases. This was a landmark decision by the Illinois appellate court in the first district, which includes Cook and the collar counties.
This workshop will explore these topics and more and help you to understand the potential impact on your business.
Join us for this complimentary, informative session, hosted by Business & Career Services, Inc. at the Illinois workNet Center and presented by Alan M. Kaplan, Management Employment Law, Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd., a suburban-based employment lawyer representing man-agement. He is frequent speaker at professional workshops and seminars. Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd. offers corporate, business, immigration, real estate, litigation and intellectual property services from offices in Chicago, Los Angeles and Schaumburg.
TO REGISTER: SEND AN EMAIL TO: Deb Lawrence at [email protected] Employers: no charge for meeting – however, please pre-register to reserve a seat. Meetings are limited to employers.
DIRECTIONS: Illinois workNet Center, 723 W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. From Algonquin Road, enter Oakpointe Office Center at Meijer Drive stoplight. Turn left at red Weber sign. Proceed south of Weber Offices to far south end of parking lot. Turn left and park. Enter at door marked 723 and check in at reception desk or wait in atrium to be escort-ed to meeting room.
