Boat TransferCORE SAFETY CS
During ERGT Australia’s Boat Transfer (BT) course participants will gain a basic level of understanding and awareness of safety associated with travelling to an offshore installation by boat for the purpose of transfer.
Content and assessments will address transfer methods between a simulated boat deck and fixed installation deck, and the donning of an appropriate floatation device as used during boat transfers.
This course is designed for personnel who work are required to use a boat to travel to and from offshore platforms and transfer between the vessel and the offshore platform.

STRUCTURE & ASSESSMENTThis course is delivered through classroom presentations, activities and participant discussion as well as practical components using boat transfer equipment in a range of simulated scenarios. Trainees will demonstrate their competence through oral &/or written assessment & practi-cal exercises.
CERTIFICATIONUpon successful completion trainees will be issued with a:Certificate of Training and Assessment in Boat Transfer A Certificate of Training and Assessment is not to compe-tency training. Trainees demonstrate practical skills in informatively assessed guided practice scenarios. There is no collection and verification of individual trainee knowl-edge, though there is continuous verbal questioning and verification of trainees’ knowledge and understanding on a group basis.
SKILLS MAINTENANCE
In alignment with industry expectations and to ensure
ongoing competence and capability ERGT recommends
skills maintenance be conducted every 2 years.
