A) Full qualification – UEE61511 Advanced Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering

Candidates who hold an UEE31211 – Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control and are successful in both theoretical and practical training, completing all units of competency in the training package, will receive the full qualification.

B) Statement of Attainment (SOA) – UEE61511 Advanced Diploma of Instrumentation and Control EngineeringThis Statement is issued to a student who has successfully completed one or more units of competency but does not meet the requirements for a full qualification e.g. Graduate Electrical Engineers.

This qualification provides competencies to design and validate/ evaluate process control equipment and systems, manage risk, estimate and manage projects and provide technical advice/ sales.

This post-trade and professional development gap training is aimed at those keenparticipants who and are keen on learning and gaining industrial electronics, instrumentation and control systems at the next level of complexity. This course is for anyone involved in the ‘supervision and compliance’ side of industrial electronics, instrumentation and control system work, i.e. design, equipment and installation specification, planning and managing industrial electronics and control projects, auditing or inspection.The course creates pathway to become a Technical Authority and Team Leader responsible for ensuring compliance to local regulations and latest AS/NZS standards. Electricians and instrument technicians in supervision roles, are the most common attendees, but we also train electrical engineers who perform inspections, plan and manage the industrial electronics and control system projects as part of their role

TRAININGMETHOD

COURSE STRUCTURE

Blended delivery of 40% theory and 60% practical training with equipment that you are likely to see in typical modern industrial electronics, instrumentation and control system with HART rated instrumentation and final control elements.

TRAININGCONTENT

You will undergo one on one practical training with industry experienced, qualified Instrument and Control System Professional Trainers. The training would include the following technologies on a purpose-built instrumentation skid/ facilities and control system with HART compliant field instruments, Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC Control System:

1. Write specifications and develop design briefs for industrial electronic instrumentation

2. Configure, maintain and diagnose faults/malfunctions in industrial control system networks

3. Develop and test code for microcontroller devices 4. Diagnose and rectify faults in digital control systems

ELIGIBILITY FOR AWARD OF FULL QUALIFICATION

When you provide copies of your qualification and record of results (transcripts) for UEE31211 - Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control and evidence of industry currency you will be credited with units covered under these qualifications.

When you have successfully completed the course, you will be awarded the qualification UEE61511 – Advanced Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering.

Units shown with a ‘+’ in the preceding table have prerequisite units that must be met prior to, or concurrently with assessment of the related units. Some prerequisites are included in the gap training and the remainder can be achieved via credit for units already held if you hold UEE31211 - Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control or through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Note: UEENEEI112A – those holding a Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control trade qualification or equivalent requirements of this unit and its prerequires requirements (UEE11 Training Package Release 1.5 December 2014).
