Pennies• A penny is worth
1¢.• It takes 100
pennies to make 1 dollar.
• When you add pennies together you count by ones.–Ex: 1,2,3,4…

Nickels• A nickel is worth
5¢.• It takes 20 nickels
to make one dollar.• When you add
nickels together you count by fives.–Ex: 5,10,15,20…

Dimes• A dime is worth
10¢.• It takes 10 dimes to
make one dollar.• When you add
dimes together you count by tens.–Ex: 10,20,30,40…

Quarters• A quarter is worth 25¢.• It takes only 4 quarters to
make one dollar.• When you add quarters
together you count by 25’s. – Ex: 25,50,75,100…
• If this is too hard you may count by fives by touching the quarter 5 times to reach 25 before moving on to the next coin.
