[email protected] WARRENSBURG - It was a quirky incident that drew national attention due to a woman’s remarkable honesty - which prompted a Warrensburg enterprise to reward her actions. Patty Wesner of Cossayuna was driving on her way to work Feb. 26 down a
an armored truck and into the roadway in front of her vehicle. She stopped, collected the bills, and called 911. The troopers responding to the scene called it an “unbelievable” act of honesty. Frank Toti, General Manager at Krystal Chrysler, saw the news report on televi-sion and was impressed. That newscast described Wesner as less than wealthy - and she could have easily used the cash - as she used a bungee cord to keep the hatch-
This situation impressed Toti, he said this week, recalling how he sought to help her out.
March 14. “Then I heard she had an older high-mileage vehicle and a bungee cord holding her car door closed, and I thought, we’d like to do something about it.” After work that day, Krystal Parts Manager Bob Olden and Service Manager Andy Studler drove to
March 11, Wesner brought the car in for repair, and the Krystal employees includ-
her tank with gasoline. Krystal staffers even washed the vehicle. “I thought it was appropriate to do something for her,” Toti said. “Her actions made us all proud to be Americans.” Also, Toti heard that Wesner was going to receive a reward from Brink’s Inc. for her honesty, and she had plans of donating it to the Pember Library & Museum in Granville. “Her donation of the reward was even more amazing, so I made a contribution of $100 to the library,” he said. Apparently others nationally share Toti’s feelings about Wesner and her honesty.
more than $800 in donations from people all over the U.S., Wesner said this week. She’s been interviewed by leading U.S. newspapers and one in England, and was
Regardless of all the publicity - which included network television coverage, Wesner is thoughtful, humble and is a true Good Samaritan, Toti said.
“She sent us a beautiful thank you card,” Toti said. “She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.” Thursday, Wesner returned the compliment. “Krystal and their employees - they are the best!” she said. “They were so sweet.”

A Closer Look At ...SKI WEST MOUNTAIN PURE FUN DAY OR NIGHT
50 YEARS AND COUNTING West Mountain has been a family favorite for over 50 years, being so conveniently located a mere 3 miles off exit 18 on Interstate 87 in Queensbury, NY. We pride ourselves in providing an affordable family fun winter playground for local residents and vacationers. As the 2012/2013 Ski Season comes to an end on Friday, April 5, 2013, and we make way for Snowmobiles the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd weekends in April, we want to thank everyone for a great Winter Season! BUT WAIT! Don’t take West Mountain off your calendar yet! As you may know West Mountain has gotten the town of Queensbury’s approval to have multiple Summer Events and we will be providing some exciting outings in the coming summer months. Memories of Fourth of July Summer Jam arise and don’t be surprised to see a Blues Festival or Arts festival on the upcoming Summer Events Calendar. We are currently booking summer events including our Friday Night Concert Series, but have a few scheduled shows coming up in the next month that you may be interested in. Our Four Twenty Gathering, April 20th 4pm-4am and our Cinco De Mayo Celebration, with Capital Zen, on May 3rd.For more information on upcoming events and hours please check www.skiwestmountain.com and our Facebook Page.
