How many schools should I apply to?
• “Dream School”• Likely—a pretty good chance of getting in• Safety—a sure thing for admission and cost
• Ultimately, deciding how many schools to apply to is a family decision. However, counselors generally recommend to consider applying to one to two schools in each category.
Early Action vs. Early Decision
•Both good ideas if you really like a particular school
•Early Decision is BINDING, must withdraw other applications if accepted
•Early Action is not binding, and you can apply early to various schools
•All schools policies may vary so you must research!
