To apply to the Community Health Worker
Training, students must:
Be 21 + years old and live in NYC
Be bilingual – must be fluent with
advanced reading and writing skills in
English and a language other than English
Be authorized to work legally in the U.S.
Have a HS Diploma or equivalent from the
U.S. or abroad
Have good computer skills
Be available to attend all classes and
complete the 135-hour internship
The primary role of a Community Health Worker
is to help members of the community manage
health problems and live healthier lives. Our
upcoming FREE Community Health Worker
Training program includes:
a 135-hour internship
healthcare career counseling
healthcare job search
placement support
Training includes: OSHA 10-hour Outreach in
General Industry, Disaster Resiliency, and
Community Nutrition Education
Optional Certificate in Mental Health First Aid
