Primary colours
Pigments in paint arise from three primary colours -
Red blue yellow

Secondary Colours

Secondary colours arise when we pair these colours together.
Purple Green orange

Colour Correction
For us as hairdressers we use the colour wheel to help us with colour correction.
The opposing colour will neutralise the offending colour.
For example if there was to much gold in the hair we would neutralise this with ash or violet tones.
If their was a green tone we would neutralise with red tones.
