When to call a code?•Call CODE BLUE on two-way radio for any
injury requiring the possible use of the automated external defibrillator (AED). Possible scenarios include: unconscious victim, choking, heart attack, head/spinal injury, seizure, large loss of blood, etc.).

When to call a code?•Call CODE RED on two-way radio for any injury
that does not require the use or possible use of an AED. Possible scenarios include: sprained ankle, fractured bone, dislocated joint, minor cuts/bruises. It is possible that an ambulance will be required for a CODE RED.

When to call a code?• Call CODE GREEN on two way radio for an injury that
requires a lifeguard to enter the water. A secondary rescuer will arrive and change the code to BLUE if needed. • In all instances the staff member should give a description of the
incident and the location when they call the code.

a report of a violent crime in the CRC or on campus.

Missing Child• When it is discovered that a child is missing, or if a parent
alerts a staff member that a child is missing, the staff member uses the radio to call an AMBER ALERT giving a full description of the child, including approximate age and what he/she is wearing.

Missing Child – Your Role• Member Services• One staff member closes front gate, calls 911 (556-1111), Look at
cameras, • Other staff member goes to gymnasium to cover loading dock doors
and to view gymnasium exit doors• Fitness Floor• Recruit staff or members to help watch exit doors, 5 doors need
covered (track, MPR B, Squash Court, plate loaded and cardio area exits
• Lifeguards• Clear the pool, down guard goes to North Door, The lap pool guard
covers the emergency exit by the Swim Coach office / Leisure Pool Guard covers the exit in the Leisure Pool

When to call a code?
• Call CODE BROWN means someone pooped somewhere (usually in the pools, but could be on stairs, the basketball courts, or anywhere except inside a toilet).• Building Supervisor/Aquatic Supervisor shut down area and
take care of the Code.
