EFFECTS OF DIVORCE ON CHILDREN
Children have a difficult time with parents divorcing.
26% of boys and 34% of girls were in the problematic range.
There are several types of risks that contribute to children having a difficult life.
Some include economic loss, more life stress, and exposure to conflict between parents.

HELPING KIDS AFTER DIVORCE
Parents should sit down and talk to the child/children together.
Remind the children that they did nothing to cause the divorce.
Don’t speak badly about your spouse in front of the child.
Don’t use your child as a pawn to hurt the other parent.
Offer counseling. Even if the parents disagree and argue,
they must both be there for the child/children.

CHILDREN OF DIVORCE: THE SHOCKING STATISTICS Children from divorced parents got lower results from school. Physical statistics show that children of divorced parents are
50% more to develop health problems. Most molested children come from single parent households. Children of divorced parents are four times more likely to
have relational problems with peers and friends. The high school drop out rate of children is about two times
higher in divorced homes.

MY PERSONAL STORY
I’ve been divorced for around five years. My kids live with mefor most of the year. I do whatever I can to make my kids laughevery day and enjoy life as much as possible. My ex-husband and I get along very well for our kids sake. We know that emotionally andphysically our kids need us both in their lives.
