Faith Formation Kickoff and Registration Event:
Our Faith Formation will start this year on
Wednesday, September 11th at 5 pm for Mass in the
Church, followed by a pizza and ice cream social in Kenne-
dy Hall. Here you will be able to register for the upcoming
year, meet a few of the catechists, visit the classrooms, sign
up to help with the program, and grab a calendar for the
year.
Looking for adults who want to make a
difference!
We are still actively seeking several adults to make an
impact in our young people’s lives by volunteering as a
catechist or small group leader. You don’t need to have all
the answers, but you should love young people and be
willing to share your faith journey with them. Please
prayerfully consider how you can impact the life of the
young Church. Contact me at [email protected] or
507-288-8238 if you have questions or would like to
volunteer.

Again – Schools in Session!
I just want to again remind all that school is in session. So a few reminders for all as we begin another year of
nurturing the lives of our little ones:
Please be mindful of leaving the South parking lot when attending weekday 8 am Masses. The buses usually ar-
rive before Mass is out and the kids run all over after departing the buses. So please be very careful when depart-
ing the South parking lot. As I mentioned, the school has the parking lot well – staffed at these times but caution
is always the best policy here. Wednesday Masses will now be at 9:30 am unless otherwise noted in the bulletin
or via pulpit announcement. And please, please consider joining the little ones for the Wednesday school Masses.
Pray for our RCS System this year. Each day we can certainly take some time and consciously offer to our Lord all
of the administration of RCS and the young people they lead. Consider purchasing SCRIP to help support RCS. I
know a lot of us do not know what this is, look for an advertisement in the near future at Masses.
So as the school year begins and gets underway, may God bless all our little ones here at Pius and especially the
administration who are entrusted with their care.
Evangelization
The main reason the Catholic System in the United States began was to evangelize and educate the poor, the im-
migrant. Of course back in those days the Sisters usually did this for free and when you read some stories about
some of those leading Nuns who were instrumental in this inauguration you are astounded by their tenacity, their
grit! The Catholic school here at Pius exists first and foremost to evangelize our little people just as the Parish of
St. Pius X exists first and foremost to evangelize the folks that sit in the pews every day and participate in our par-
ish programs. We have been discussing here at Pius among the staff how we can continue to do this in the midst
of these changing and occasionally traumatic times. I have said before in conversation with some – the faith of
the people I serve is what is keeping my own soul in this project of building God’s Kingdom. We must build that
Kingdom together so may we all pray for the grace, strength, and courage of the Holy Spirit to carry on with the
mission and message of Christ.
So as we begin this new school year, in your prayer seriously consider how you can best participate and join in
the building of God’s Kingdom here and now at Pius. Know that helping and volunteering your time in our
Evangelization programs – Faith Formation, RCIA, Adult Education, Liturgy, are always needed for the building
of God’s Kingdom here at Pius. Anything for our Lord is NOT a burden but an honor and a privilege. God bless
and have a good week.
