Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
For loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
Like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself.
Peace on Earth, good will to men,
Kind thoughts and words of cheer,
Are things we should use often
And not just once a year.
So keep the Christmas spirit, share it with others far and near,
From week to week and month to month, throughout the entire year!
Wishing All A Wonderful Holiday And Happy New Year!
The Brethren Of Lodge N0 72
,
Brethren, as this is my last Trestleboard submission as Senior Warden and my first
communication as the Worshipful Master. I want to say thank you to Worshipful Master,
Charles Hardy, all the officers and members of this Lodge who I had the pleasure to work and
serve with. I received valuable help, support and guidance from all, and for this, I am humbled
and very grateful. Thank you.
I also want to say thank you to all the Brothers for electing me as your Worshipful Master for
the upcoming year, your continued support and confidence continues to inspire me to do
everything that I can to help this Lodge. I take great pride in being a part of this fraternity, a
member of this Lodge, and an officer representing the brethren of Sun City Lodge.
Sun City Lodge and its members are very much respected in Arizona masonry. The harmony, vibrancy, and the level of activity of
its members are the keys to this lodge’s accomplishments. I will do all that I can to assist in the continuation of this lodge’s
success.
I recently ran across a prayer by Azriela Jaffe, it’s called “An Answered Prayer”. I found it to be appropriate at this point in my life.
I asked for strength, and God gave me difficulties to make me strong;
I ask for wisdom, and God gave me problems to learn to solve;
I asked for prosperity, and God gave me a brain and brawn to work;
I ask for courage, and God gave me dangers to overcome;
I asked for love, and God gave me people to help;
I ask for favors, and God gave me opportunities;
I received nothing I wanted. I received everything I needed.
My prayers have been answered.
I hope your prayers will be answered this year, as well, as we continue the work as all those who have gone this way before.
Thank you again, Brethren, I will work hard for you.
Final thought: ‘The first step of any journey into the unknown is the biggest.’

Brethren,
Thank you for electing me to the station of Senior Warden. I look forward to next year
helping Brother Steve Wieters, Worshipful Master-Elect open and close his Lodge and
working with him in accomplishing the goals he has set for this great Lodge. I hope all
the Brethren will join with me in supporting him in his endeavors. I would like to take a
moment here and congratulate our Worshipful Master for the job he has done this year.
Worshipful Master is not an easy Office to attain and an even harder one to perform. I
hope that when I earn that high honor I can do the job with the same even demeanor
and calmness that our Worshipful has displayed this year. I appreciate all the
constructive criticism I received this year regarding the meals. It helped me put together a menu that seemed to be to the liking of
the majority of the diners. I hope you give Brother Bob Cole, Junior Warden-Elect the same kindness and consideration you
showed me while he takes care of the food and refreshments this next year. Believe me, suggestions are always welcome when
you try to come up with something different every meal. This article is a little short this month, but I have a lecture to learn. I hope
to see all of you at our Installation on December 5 at 4 PM.
Masonic tradition calls on us to render aid to our sick and
needy brothers. While we are getting better at doing that,
we have been neglecting our ladies and their needs. If any
of you know of a sick or distressed brother or a Masonic
widow, please call the lodge office at 623.972.2217 and leave
a message on the recorder or in person tell the Secretary
or Building Manager.
Sun City Lodge N0 72 would like to preserve our heritage and Lodge by building
upon the Irrevocable Trust Fund. To do this, the Brothers of Sun City Lodge N0 72
can consider Including in their will a Gift to the Irrevocable Trust Fund of Sun City
Lodge N0 72, Peoria, Arizona. This absolutely will preserve our heritage that the
Brothers above have established. The funds will be used to maintain the building
and for possible renovations in the near future. The Lodge is in need of
replenishing this fund. The Brothers may contribute to this fund at any time.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the members of Sun City Lodge who supported my election as incoming junior warden for the upcoming year of 2016. I look forward to working closely with the other officers and my fellow lodge brothers to continue to maintain and foster the highest of our Masonic traditions. As our highly acclaimed, most worshipful brother Benjamin Franklin once
said
Tell me and I forget.
Teach me and I remember.
Involve me and I learn.”

All the past Masters of Sun City Lodge N0 72 wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Kwanza and Happy New Year We look forward to helping our new Worshipful Master and all the elected and appointed officers. Information you might want to know! At the conclusion (not in this jurisdiction) of his limited term of office, a Worshipful Master is termed a Past Master. The duties and privileges of Past Masters vary from lodge to lodge and jurisdiction to jurisdiction. For example, in some jurisdictions Past Masters become life members of the Grand Lodge, while in others they are not. In most jurisdictions, a Past Master retains the honorific "Worshipful" (as in "Worshipful Brother Jones"), however there are a few where this honorific is used exclusively for sitting Masters. The corresponding grand rank is Grand Master. The Grand Master may preside over his Grand Lodge, and also has many powers and rights in every lodge under his jurisdiction.
Grand Masters are usually addressed as "Most Worshipful", or as in Pennsylvania, "Right Worshipful".

Brethren, at this time we have 219 members. We have one affiliate waiting for a demit: David Leiva. We have three waiting for the EA degree (Royce Kidd, Brian Arrowood and William Sturdevant) and two who have received the EA Marcus Beckles and Edward Tanheimer. At the November meeting, we suspended 15 for non-payment of dues. They are accounted for in
the total. I think we are doing very well. Our average age is 70.5. Do good unto all.
Issues of the Trestleboard are available to individual e-mail accounts electronically. The advantage of the electronic release is

Worshipful Master Message: Brethren, Due to the increases in the cost of food we are being forced to increase the cost of
our meals. They will Increased to $8.00. We are sorry for this but the circumstances are beyond our control. We will be serving
meals at all stated meeting and third degrees. The meals will be prepared and served by the members of the Amaranth and East-
ern Star. The meal for the December Stated meeting will be, Ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, salad, dinner rolls, and green
beans. Desert will be birthday cake, to celebrate the December birthdays. If your birthday is in the month of December, you are
invited to enjoy dinner for free.
Brethren for the next upcoming Masonic year we are going to be celebrating the brother’s actual birthdays, as well as their
Masonic birthdays as we have been previously. When the trestle board comes out at the first of every month there will be a list of
the brother’s birthdays for that month, just their names and the month. These brothers will receive an invitation to come to the
stated meeting and enjoy dinner on us; there will also be a nice birthday cake for all of us to share.
The Chairman for our second annual Pancake Breakfast, Bob Carhart, reports that the planning is done and he is ready for some action on the part of the volunteers who will head up the various categories assigned to perform at the breakfast. It is never too soon to make your plans so you will be available to help with this fun/fund raiser. Perhaps the most important activity that we can all do is sell tickets so we can have more attendees than we did at our first Pancake Breakfast. It is going to be up to each of us members and you do not have to be a sound physical specimen to do this important work. Like in some of the other ‘chores’ our ladies can assist as well in making this event very successful. They attend many meetings and other activities where the men do not so they have an excellent place to sell individual as well as groups of tickets. THANKS LADIES! We hope to see everyone, who reads this epistle, at the breakfast with your friends and neighbors. All Master Masons are invited and encouraged to attend any of our regular meetings on the second Fridays of the months of October through May as well as our social events where the ladies and guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend. Santa Claus sometimes has sent an elf by with a treat for each of us at the festive Christmas/Holiday Luncheon and he may do it again on December 7, 2015. Do you suppose he will?
December 7, 2015 11:30 AM Christmas/Holiday Luncheon. Do not miss this festive evening event. It has always been very popular. Will this be the very best?
December 11, 2015 8:00 AM Election of officers and Directors. Interesting speaker.
January 8, 2016 8:00 AM Installation of 2016 Officers.
State President Dave Miller and his team will preside. Arizona Wolcott Deputy Trustee, Harry Brown, will bring us up to date on Wolcott in Arizona. Remember, you can participate with your donations to the Wolcott Foundation any day of the year and join our Brothers attending the Sun City Lodge or any Lodge. As you know, any of the local Lodges that you may visit can be a great location to find a new High Twelvian for our Club. It is up to each of us to sign up a new High Twelvian to keep our roster on the plus side and, hopefully, to increase our membership so that our friends can enjoy our Food, Fun and Fellowship.
Freemasonry is "veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols" because these are the surest way by which moral and ethical truths may be taught. It is
not only with the brain and with the mind that the initiate must take Freemasonry but also with the heart. ~ C. H. Claude MM
Masonry aims at the promotion of morality and higher living by the cultivation of the social side of man, the rousing in him of the instincts of charity
and love of his kind. It rests surely on the foundation of the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of God. ~ William Howard Taft MM
"Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort." ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt, American President and Freemason
It has not been my fortune to know very much of Freemasonry, but I have had the great fortune to know many Freemasons and have been able in that way to judge the tree by its fruit. I know of your high ideals. I have seen that you hold your meetings in the presence of the open Bible, and I know that men who observe that formality have high sentiments of citizenship, of worth, and character. That is the strength of our Commonwealth
and nation." -Calvin Coolidge
"I ask of each Mason, of each member, of each brother, that he shall remember ever that there is upon him a peculiar obligation to show himself in every respect a good citizen; for after all, the way he can best do his duty by the ancient order to which he belongs is by reflecting credit upon that
order by way in which he performs his duty as a citizen of the United States." -Theodore Roosevelt
Courage is the first of human qualities, because it is the quality which guarantees all the others. -Winston Churchill
Happy Holidays to all! The “Stars” are shining brightly and are twinkling with delight at the generous donations of our chapter this year. The Food Bank is supported by our PM’s and PP’s. Dollars are given to calling cards for our troops to phone home at Christmas, and volunteer hours at the hospitals all add up to a joyful noise! Our Friendship Night on December 1st. was a lot of fun as we celebrated John Munster’s WP, Birthday. There were lots of friends and gift giving galore. Our breakfast at the Royal Café, the second Tuesday of the month, is very well attended. This is where a lot of fellowship happens. We are looking forward to our Christmas Pot Luck on December 15th, with Ham as our main entrée. We always have a “Special Visitor” at the Christmas meeting and we “Jingle all the way”. The WM and WP wish you all a
Blessed Holiday Season.
Respectfully submitted Sandy Munster PM
Honored Ladies and Sir Knights:
