GOLDEN BELLS Materials: Cascade Yarns 220 100% Peruvian Highland Wool 220 yds, 3.5 oz 1 skein gold #7826 California Poppy Size #7 needles Yarn needle Christmas ribbon, Christmas Pick Size: 3 ½” high, 4” wide approx. Gauge: 5 sts = 1” in stockinette stitch Abbreviations: K = knit P = purl YO = yarn over sl = slip K2tog = knit 2 together st = stitch c/o = cast on rep = repeat pat = pattern inc = increase g-st = garter st (knit every row) dec = decrease sts = stitches beg = beginning SKP = sl next st, k1, pass slipped st over the K1. SK2P = sl next st, K2tog, pass slipped st over the K2tog. Bells: Make 2 C/O 20 sts. Row 1: P5, K15. Row 2: Knit. Repeat rows 1 & 2 until there are 30 garter stitch ridges. Bind off. Cut yarn, leaving long tail for sewing. Sew cast on edge to bound off edge. Run gathering around top. Pull up snuggly and secure. Weave in all ends. Sew two bells together at the top and add a bow of Christmas ribbon and a Christmas pick.
