CAREER HISTORY:

September 2014 – present – NSG & NIS (SPECIALIST SUPPLIER TO ATOMIC WEAPONS ESTABLISHMENT & NUCLEAR INDUSTRY) PROJECT MANAGER

Project Manager for design/re-kit/new build projects and specialist machine tooling at the AWE Nuclear Site and other Nuclear sites. Disciplines include civil, mechanical and electrical engineering.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Receive invitation to tender (competitive tender).

• Become single point of reference to the client at this stage.

• Conduct site/job survey.

• Receipt of specification and drawings.

• Response to tender, material costs, labour costs, outline programme, conduct supplier evaluation/audits.

Upon award of contract:-

• Produce detailed Project Plan.

• Produce Safe System of Work.

• Produce Risk Analysis.

• Produce Quality Inspection Plan.

• Administration of personnel required for the job and validation of qualifications/training records.

Manage the project on daily basis:-

• Programme updates for progress, costs and resources.

• Management of third party resources.

• Attend Factory Inspection Tests.

• Plan of the day, Plan of the week and procurement with client.

• Conduct project review/progress meetings with client.

• Report weekly and attend weekly company meeting to update on project progress and resource requirements.

• Conduct ad-hoc Health and Safety checks on site.

• Conduct monthly tool box talks, quality/health and safety and security with personnel.

• Conduct ad-hoc Quality checks on site.

• Address project variations and costings with the client.

• Raise invoices at appropriate milestones.

• Manage the project handover and documentation process.

• Maintain the structure of the company database/filing system.

• The single point of contact between Rittal Limited and the customer British Telecom for the supply of computer networking and communication systems to the Ministry of Defence. I additionally managed teams of electricians and other sub-contractors for the installation of related hardware and electrical services. The project was delivered on time and within budget to almost 400 geographical sites throughout the United

Kingdom. I also worked with EDS for the supply of chilled network cabinets for the Courts of Justice.
