CopperI 7400 Photoswitchable Heterotrimetallic Chain Based on Octacyanomolybdate,

Copper, and Nickel: Synthesis, Characterization, and Photomagnetic Properties. — As revealed by single crystal XRD, compound (III) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P21/c with Z = 4 and compound (V) in the triclinic space group P1 with Z = 1. The structure of (V) contains chains formed by multinuclear [NiII(cyclam){MoIV(CN)8}2{CuII(dmed)2}6]

6+ and mononuclear [Cu(dmed)2]2+ units.

(V) appears to be the first photomagnetic heterotrimetallic chain showing a long-lived photoinduced metastable state with high spin and anisotropy. The switching effect is thermally reversible. — (LONG, J.; CHAMOREAU, L.-M.; MATHONIERE, C.; MARVAUD*, V.; Inorg. Chem. 48 (2009) 1, 22-24; Lab. Chim. Inorg. Materiaux Mol., CNRS, Univ. P. et M.
