Centro San Antonio helps accommodate downtown’s growing residential popula-

tion, enhance its office and retail market, and position downtown as a premier convention and visitor destination through the efforts of the Public Improvement District.

In 2000, Centro San Antonio Management Corporation launched Centro San Antonio—The Downtown Public Improvement District to provide services and improvements as a supplement to services provided by the City of San Antonio. These services are in the form of Ambassadors-Amigos, Streetscap-ing-Amigos and Maintenance-Amigos.
