The Mission of the New Crim Open Campus is to inspire and challenge students to learn, grow, and accomplish academic, social and post-secondary goals.

Monday: Connections Learning Collective sharing by all to learn overall school activities
Tuesday: Blended Learning Collaborative Professional Learning for teachers to embed effective proven instructional practice
Tuesday: faculty PLC Informational /instructional learning through both passive and active learning
Wednesday: Content Learning Collaborative planning, sharing of data amongst same content/area teachers
Thursday: Collaborative interdisciplinary sharing, planning and learning
Friday: Collaborative sharing/planning of committees (leadership, health/wellness, staff/student incentive, communication, literacy, attendance, parent/community engagement, etc.)

2013-2014 MEASURABLE GOALS IDENTIFIED FOR Alonzo A. Crim_ School
To increase whole school attendance by 5% over the course of the 2013-2014 school year compared to the attendance of May 2012-2013 school year
Utilization of the APS dropout list to increase the total enrollment while supporting the decrease in overall district dropouts (Updated student dropout list-C. Allen)
Monthly student incentive for individual student accomplishment and for each learning community with the greatest attendance and/or attendance gain (Monthly rosters, Infinite Campus attendance, Event agenda-Davis)
Parental awareness of student attendance is addressed via mailing, phone calls by attendance specialist and social workers and home visits Parental incentives are also in place to support consistent communication (Attendance team parent contact logs)
Develop peer attendance monitors to help motivate and track students (Monitor roster and conference result log- attendance team)
Daily contact is made via the automated calling system that contacts students and parents based on daily and period attendance.(Infinite Campus log- Attendance team)
Adjustments are made to the daily schedules of students who are chronically absent and may show improvement based on a hybrid schedule
Weekly announcements on SLC attendance and visuals to track SLC. Teacher incentives are included for SLC attendance gains monthly
Review scheduling variances that negatively reflect our student enrollment due to non-traditional scheduling

Ensure all students earn 2 credits in the same world language (Spanish or French)
Instituted tutorial sessions during advisory to ensure students meets or exceeds on the Georgia High School Writing Test
Provide EOCT teachers added support from the instructional coaches (lesson plans, data report, instructional strategies, etc)
Ensure graduating seniors take a nationally recognized entrance exam (Senior exit plans)
Ensure eligible students complete a physics course (Created Physics Class)
Develop tutorial/remediation and support classes for 9th Grade Transitional students to ensure 9th grade students earn 4 Carnegie Units in 4 content areas
Ensure proper scheduling of English Learners and their assessment on the ACCESS test to ensure positive movement from one Performance Band to a higher one
Properly align and schedule career-related Work-Based Learning Program to eligible students
