DSI and AID Relationship Ad Hoc Committee (2018-2019) Function Alpha Iota Delta is a student honorary society established by members of DSI in 1971. The student is ideally an undergraduate- or
Master-level who join a university/collegial chapter where the student is enrolled. Alpha Iota Delta is governed by faculty members who ideally are university/collegiate chapter faculty advisors. Over the years, the relationship between Alpha Iota Delta and DSI has not progressed in a manner that benefits both organizations. This Ad Hoc committee is tasked with providing recommendations to strengthen formal, organizational, and programmatic linkages between the two organizations. More specially, does it make sense for all DSI regular members be recognized as governing members of Alpha Iota Delta? If so, should there be an opt-out option? Would DSI regular members pay dues separately or is a portion of DSI membership dues assigned? How much? If the goal is no net loss, what DSI programs will be supported as being sponsored by Alpha Iota Delta? etc.

Should the same be available to regional leadership to attend the DSI annual conference (e.g., for SWDSI President to attend)? If so, how much? Should these policies be uniform across regions or allow to vary by region? [NOTE: the actual reimbursement of expenses will be handled by the DSI Home Office]
