5. Maximum Speed Mode (MAX).• Show the maximum speed of the trip.6. Trip Meter Mode (DST).• Show the trip distance of riding.• Unit is in Km or Mile.7. Odometer Mode (ODO).• Odometer is the accumulative distance of the

unit after power up or reset.• Unit is in Km or mile.8. Auto Ride Timer Mode (ATM).• Display the time that connected to bike sensor.9. Wheel Size Mode.• 1 programmable wheel size (wheel circumfe-

rence in mm).10. Scan Function Mode.• The DST, ATM, ODO, AVG, MAX will be dis-

played for 2 seconds cyclin.11. Heart Rate Mode.• Show the current heart rate.• HR measurement is in beats per minute ranged

from 30 to 240.• The “heart rate” icon will shown on the screen

when the heart rate sensor is connected, theouter “frame” will flash at 2Hz.

• If No heart rate signal input, after 90 seconds,the current value of heart rate will display “—“

with wireless receiver OFF (the average andmaximum heart rate value is unaffected).

• To start the heart rate measuring, press [START]to activate HTM mode, the receiver will turnON again.

12. Average Heart Rate Mode.• Show the average heart rate of the time from

stopwatch AVG HR = Total number of heartbeats (impulses) / time of stopwatch.

13. 3 target zones setting.• Flash the “heart rate” icon (inside and outside)

when the heart rate is greater than the definedheart rate settings.

• Flash the “heart rate” icon (inside and outside)when the heart rate is smaller than the definedheart rate settings.

• Flash the “heart rate” icon (outside only) whenthe heart rate is in the range of the definedheart rate settings.

14. Calorie Mode - Calculate the calorie consump-tion depend on following situation:

• Heart rate receiving and bike riding. • Heart rate receiving and Bike is stop.15. Energy Save Function.• If No any signal connected or key pressed,

after 5 minutes, the product will go to sleepmode.

• Only the time will display on the LCD.

4. TIME MODE (TIME)

1. When the system is Power Up, it will display theTime mode, The “Time” logo will display.

2. The current time will show on the second line ofthe display.

3. Show the real time clock. 4. It supports 12 or 24 hour mode.5. Press [START] to wake up heart rate receiver

when it turned off.6. Press [MODE] go to next mode AVG Speed

Mode.7. The first line of the display is showing current

speed. The third line of the display is showingcurrent heart rate and heart rate profile.

SET TIME MODE• When the system is Power Up, it will display the

EN• Input Speed signal or press any key can wakeup product.

• It will wake up on current mode.• The LCD will be OFF (no any display) when

time reach 12:00:00am or 00:00:00 exceptthe product is riding or the product go to sleepmode after 12:00:00am or 00:00:00.

• Press [MODE] to changeto the Time mode, if thecurrent mode is not Timemode.

• Press [START] to switch12Hr or 24Hr displaymode.

• Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to set time(HH:MM:SS).

• Press [START] to advance the value of digit.• Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to next digit

to continue editing.• After completed editing, press [SET] to jump

back to Clock mode.

5. SPEED MODE (AVG)

1. When the system is Power Up, it will display theTime mode.

2. Press [MODE] to change to AVG mode.3. The current speed will show on the first line of

the display. 4. The average speed will show on the second line

of the display.5. The heart rate and heart rate profile will show

on the third line of display. 6. Press [MODE] go to next mode MAX Speed

data to zero. 8. Press [START] to wake up heart rate receiver

when it turned off.

NOTE• When the end user is

riding, the ride iconwill be shown.

• Up icon will be indi-cated when the currentspeed is larger than theaverage speed.

• Down icon will beindicated when the cur-rent speed is smaller theaverage speed.

6. MAX SPEED MODE (MAX)

1. In AVG Speed Mode press [MODE] to thismode, the “MAX” logo will display.

10.HTM MODE (HTM) AND HEART RATE PROFILE

1. In ATM Mode press[MODE] to this mode, the“HTM” logo will display.

2. The HTM value will showon the second line of thedisplay. The timer will becounting when the heartrate is detected.

3. The average heart rateand heart rate profile willshow on the third of the display (“AVG” iconwill shown under the heart rate icon).

NOTE:• Press and Hold [START] to initial heart rate

value.• Press [START] to wake up heart rate receiver

when it turned off.• Press [MODE] go to next mode Calorie Mode.• The first line of the display is showing current

speed.

SET HEART RATE PROFILE1. When the system is Power Up, it will display

2. Press [MODE] to change to HTM mode, youcan either choose ➊→➋→➌ as your targetzone.

3. Press [SET] to select profile of heart rate to edit.4. Press and hold [SET] with 2 second to edit the

heart rate limit (default Upper is 180 andLower is 60, Maximum Upper and Lower is299) that in selected target zone.

5. Press [START] to advance the value of upperand lower limits you desired.

6. Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to nextdigit to continue editing.

7. After you have completed, press [SET] to jumpback to Heart Rate mode.

8. During exercise, heart rate is kept on measur-ing. If heart rate is out of the target zone, zonealarm (beep beep sound) will be given out.

11.CALORIE MODE (KCAL)

1. In HTM Mode press [MODE] to this mode.2. The Calorie value will show on the second line

of the display.3. The maximum heart rate and heart rate profile

will show on the third line of the display(“MAX” icon will shown under the heart rateicon).

Woman ). 5. Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to next state

to continue editing.6. Press [START] to switch the unit of weight (KG

or LB).7. Press [MODE] to confirm and jump to next state

to continue edits the weight of user.8. Press [START] to change value Default is 80,

Maximum is 999.9).

13. HOW TO REPLACE BATTERIES

The Heart Rate Monitor uses 2 x lithium batteries.Use only the recommended batteries.

IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION• Battery installation and removal should be per-

formed by an adult. • Be sure to install the batteries with the correct

polarity, as indicated. • Remove all batteries when replacing. • Only batteries of the same and equivalent type

as recommended are to be used. • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals. • Exhausted batteries should be removed from

the product. • Different types of batteries or new and used

batteries are not to be mixed. • It allows few seconds for changing battery;

however data will be lost and need to reset thedata. Data will be lost after 1-2 minutes whenrunning out of battery.

MAIN UNIT1. The batteries compartment is located at the

back of the main unit. To install/replace thebatteries, insert a coin into the slit of the com-

partment lid and turn it clockwise. The lidshould come off easily.

2. Take out the old batteries and dispose of pro-perly (pic. 1).

3. Gently place the new battery into the batteryslot of the battery compartment, making surethat the poles are correctly placed.

4. Screw back the compartment lid.5. Should the LCD show irregular figures, take out

the battery and install again. This will clear andrestart the MEDEL CARDIO XT BIKE.

HEART RATE BELT1. Hold the Heart Rate Belt firmly. Insert a coin

into the slit of the compartment lid and turn itclockwise. The lid should come off easily.(Remove used battery CR2032 ) (pic. 2).

2. Gently place the battery into the battery slot ofthe battery compartment (pic. 3).

3. Put the compartment lid back into place andtighten it firmly by turning it anti-clockwise withthe help of coin.

EN 14. WARRANTY

Warranty conditions- The device is covered by a 2 years warranty

from date of purchase for any defects in thedesign or in the materials used.

- The warranty consists in the replacementand/or repair free of charge of originallydefective components.

- The warranty does not cover the accessoriessupplied with the device and those parts subjectto normal wear and tear.

- The device must be repaired by authorisedtechnical service centres only.

- The device must be sent to the authorised serv-ice centre for repair within 8 days after thedefect is noticed.

- Transport costs for the device are at user’scharge.

- Any repair out of warranty conditions are atuser’s charge.

- The warranty does not cover failures resultingfrom misuse, abuse of the product or in casethe damage is not due to manufacturer’s liabi-lity (accidental fall, rough transportation, etc.).

- The warranty does not involve any compensa-tion for any kind of damages to persons or

ENthings, either direct or indirect, occurred whenthe device is not operating.

- The warranty is valid from the date of purchasecertified by the ticket or the invoice which haveto be peremptorily attached to the warrantycoupon.
