Design Concept:
Designed a children’s museum that connected adults’ and
children’s minds through the journey of the ramp experience, art
studio, perception exhibit, and play space. Their connections
ignite their creativities and curiosities, honoring the child’s
creativity and allowing an understanding of their world
perceptions. Children learn best through somaesthetics and
play which is used as a tool to adapt in different learning
environments.
Extensive research was developed on the range
of learning styles and perceptions of children’s
minds and play.
C h i l d r e n ’ s E x p l o r a t o r i u m
The art studio of the Children’s Exploratorium allows
children to create art out of recycled materials, based
off of what they experienced from the perception
exhibit. Families, teachers, and staff work together in
allowing children to artistically express themselves
and their perspectives.
Research supports the fact that spatial cognition is
developed through working with 3-D dimensional art.
Perception Exhibit - Activating senses
“Exploring, walking, crawling, experimenting with high and
low: all these experiences activate the tonic function and
propioception, but above all engage the child’s emotional
body; that is, the body as source of big emotions and deep
sensations. A body that becomes the primary source of the
identity-building processes and the essential protagonist of
the learning and knowledge-building processes.”
Play +
The playspace of the Children’s Exploratorium allows children
to physically move their bodies to explore different aspects of
play. Furniture is movable, inspired by Emilio Reggio’s cognitive
learning play furniture line.

The journey of the store starts off with the main
entrance, displaying the morning products.
The design reflects the organic structure of
morning routine.
As you travel past the demonstration sinks, you
enter the back entrance, displaying the night
products.
The design transports you through a more
dynamic, fast paced life style, reflecting the day
and night routine.

Design Inspiration

The restaurant will focus on Spain’s exciting, vibrant culture of
flamenco dancing and its rustic terrain. The design will invoke aspects
of flamenco dancing through connecting terms that describe its
powerful culture, dance, and aesthetic elements. Zest, vibrancy,
rhythmic movement, sophistication are all terms that add spide to
the design’s influences. These include bold patterns and colors,
worn finishes such as wood and stone, and a Chihuly-inspired glass
ceiling reflecting the flamenco dress.
The proposal was to design a restaurant for the Harbor Edge Hotel that
is inspired by one of Charlestown, Boston, Ma trading history.
At Flamenco, guests are enchanted when dining and drinking with friends
as if they are amongst Spain’s gathering crowds viewing the passionate
and lively flamenco dancing culture.

Stunt Show
Design Concept:
Abraham L incoln the Vampi re Hunter
Class was separated into teams and each team worked on creating
a script and a timing stunts chart for a stunt show in an existing
arena. Our group chose the movie, Abraham Lincoln the Vampire
Hunter, for our IP and the location in Japan’s Universal Waterworld.
My contributions to our team were producing the design concept
of the behind the seat screens for Henry ’s letters, model building
the sets, rendering Scene 1 in Photoshop, and story boarding the
earlier scenes

The concept of the hotel lobby space is influenced by the Japanese painting print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai. It illustrates the rushing tsunami wave near Mount Fuji. The design will illustrate a modern, minimalist version of the painting by evoking elements of curvilinear forms, complimentary hues of blue and orange balanced with neutral hues of brown and white, and textural elements that reflect the print ’s prominent crashing wave’s motif.
