OUR NASA AIRPLANE
By Molly and Aleina
Ours is the best (boom)
HOW THE PARTS WORK TOGETHER
Four forces Propulsion Lift Fuselage
CRITERIA AND CONSTRAINTS Most go 500 miles Most hold 80 or more
people Must not use a runway
Must cost $76,000,000 or less
Must not use a runway
The situation we choose
The situation we choose was long haul. We are on a sports team at our school and we made it to the national championships. We have $76,000,000 to spend on our air craft. The rotors allow it to have no runway.
TRADEOFFS
GOOD BAD
The plane will not have a lot of downwash
Less noise Less fuel efficiency
We choose the stuff that costs the most
The body was heavy
LIFT SYSTEM We choose the 8 rotor lift system because it dose not have a lot of downwash.
ENGINE
We choose engine one because it has more power and scene it has more power it works good ,because are suppose to carry 81 people.
ESTELA HERNANDEZ
We choose her because she not only builds airplanes she is a pilot
too.
FUSELAGE We choose fuselage number 3. We choose it because it can hold more than 80 people.
Four forces
The four forces work together to make our plane move because drag makes it go backwards .Thrust makes it go forward. Lift pushes it up. Weight pushes it down.
OUR DESIGN
beginning ending
Smaller No propeller rockets
Bigger Propeller No rockets
OUR PLANE DID FLY Flew great Right distant Perfect time
