• Italy is part of Southern Europe and has a distinctive boot shape.

• It has some islands including Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica

• The largest islands are Sicily and Sardinia.

• Italy is mostly made out of land area with a small percentage of water area.

• It borders Switzerland, France, Austria and Slovenia.

• In Italy, there are forests of Beech, Pine, Oak, Fir, Ash, Maple, Wild Oak and other trees.

• These forests are home to animals such as fox’s and mountain goats.

• Olive and Fig trees also grow in this area.

• Fruit and oil is sold throughout Italy.
