Although college degrees in a finance, management, business are strongly desired they are not necessary for a successful career in the finance field. There are some positions that require further education out of the colligate setting: Loan Officers, Mortgage Officers: Further loan training usually offered within the facility Financial Planners: Must earn their Financial Planning Certification to become a CFP: Certified Financial Planner Money Management: Investors are required deep understanding of the market along with economic behavior. Furthering any education past what is required will further your career within your chosen field. Most employers will offer funding for furthering your education with an agreement made to maintain employment for a set length of time. Another often overlooked option to further real life education is accepting an internship within your desired field.

Types of Skills Needed for Finance You will need a broad understanding of business because you will
be interacting with businesses. People skills for interaction with customers so you can be able to communicate to get them loans and investments that they want. An background in accounting. Two common jobs are a credit analyst or a lending officer. Writing skills are very important to make reports and for good communication. You can not be afraid to sell or look for potential customers.
