VISIT TO SOUTH PERTH BURSWOOD ROTARY CLUB
We were invited to join with President June Wade and her members of the South Perth Burswood Rotary Club this week. Over half of our members attended helping to swell the ranks of the host club. It gave us an opportunity to find out about some of the projects that South Perth Burswood are involved in – check out their Shelterbox display at the Show this year. They are with the Scouts. Their guest speaker this morning was Past District Governor David Barton who spoke about a youth exchange programme that his club, Melville, has been running for a few years. It is a club to club short term exchange. He has clubs from overseas who have expressed an interest in being involved, and he is looking for local clubs to provide a solution.
