INTRODUCTION
SCHEDULE
Game / Allies Rules
Hello everyone and welcome to Steel City Wargamings 40K Twisted Doubles Eventbut what is so twistedabout it I hear you cry?...well the warped element is that on the day of the event you will be randomly pairedup with another player. Then, you will then both join your forces (whatever they be!) and fight your waythrough 3 games to determine which team will reign supreme!
Each player will need to bring a Battle Forged army up to and no more than 925 points; this force can alsouse Allies, Formations, Lords of war, Fortifications and Forgeworld. A list will be required for vetting prior tothe random pairing. This army will then be used throughout all 3 games.
As various and bizarre combinations of armies could occur (for example, Tyranids joining forces with well, anyone!),the normal ally matrix is to be ignored. Instead, all armies shall be treated as Allies of Convenience. This is also applies if one of the players brings an allied force.

Point Scoring
Fighting Pit
SCW Maelstrom Cards
All the missions have various scoring options; but for each win, the team shall gain 10 points, 5 points for a draw and 3 for a loss. VPs will then be used if teams are tired in order to determine who was won by the greater margin. In the event of a tiebreak after all 3 games have been played, then both teams will then need to elect one of their forces HQs to take part in a Fighting Pit game. All primary and secondary points values are listed against each of the games below.
Each game shall utilise our custom Maelstrom missions. All tables will have 6 numbered objectives markersacross the board set-up by the SCW team prior to the game, these cannot be moved. Once sides havebeen decided and players are ready to begin a SCW member will then give 6 random cards to each team. These cards are to be kept secret! If you are successful in completing a card, show it to your opponentsthen place it to one side as each one will be worth 1 point at the end of the game.
In the event of a tiebreak, each of the teams will then need to elect a HQ from their forces to takepart in a sudden death game. Both figures will then be placed 6 apart. All shooting weapons, physic powers are ignored; this is a trial by hand-to-hand combat. Once ready, both players thenroll a dice to see who has the initiative. The player with the highest dice roll can then attempt tocharge into combat first. The HQ who slays the other wins the tournament.
