ABOUT BRITWEEK
BritWeek is a non-‐profit organiza2on, started in Los Angeles in 2007 by Nigel Lythgoe and the then Consul General Bob Peirce, to highlight the
crea2ve fusion between the United Kingdom and the US.
Every spring BritWeek hosts a program of events that promotes Bri2sh crea2vity, innova2on and excellence across mul2ple categories including, film & television, music, art, fashion, design, retail, sport, philanthropy, business, and more. Along with BritWeek Los Angeles, BritWeek has launched programs in Orange County, San Francisco, and Miami.
BritWeek's philanthropic contribu2ons have included fundraising for Malaria No More, Save the Children, LA’s BEST, Children’s Hospital Los
Angeles, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and programs promo2ng children’s sports, children's literacy and interna2onal professional internships.

RED CARPET LAUNCH April 21, 2015
BritWeek’s exci2ng Red Carpet Launch party kicks off the BritWeek Los Angeles program and aV r a c t s h und r ed s o f celebri2es, VIPs, poli2cians and dignitaries. The red carpet ensures photos of the stars are blasted all around the globe and hieng computers and newsstands within hours. The event is held at a private residence in Hancock Park for 350+ invita2on-‐only VIP guests, celebri2es, and press. The BritWeek UKTI Business Innova2on Awards is a compe22on for UK & California companies. The event recognizes and highlights innova2ve companies in Technology, Social Impact, Design, & Business Services An audience of 250 investors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and press gathers at the pres2gious Four Seasons Hotel for an evening of business networking where the winners are announced. Companies in aVendance are all interested and engaged in the US/UK business rela2onship.

Every year BritWeek hosts a unique and exci2ng charity recep2on, from a 20s-‐themed party honoring Downton Abbey to an evening of Shakespeare with some of the most accomplished actors performing their favorite sonnets and monologues. The lively and pres2gious charity event is aVended by 350 -‐ 500 leaders in business, culture, poli2cs, and media, as well as influen2al Bri2sh talent. This event has a star-‐studded red carpet and receives significant press coverage. BritWeek supports a different charity every year. Previous partners have included Big Brothers Big Sisters, LA Children’s Hospital, LA’s BEST, Malaria No More, Virgin Unite, and others.

April 25, 2015 The third annual BritWeek Robertson Shopping Stroll is a full-‐day event on one of Los Angeles’ most popular, luxury shopping des2na2ons, aVrac2ng thousands of people daily. The Shopping Stroll features exci2ng in-‐store events, fashion shows, special retail offers, Bri2sh inspired food & drink, and a fun MINI lounge. In 2014, the event was hosted by Mischa Barton.
On this day, Robertson Blvd – home to over 50 luxury retail stores and restaurants including 5 Bri2sh brands -‐ is dedicated to celebra2ng all things Bri2sh! Even non-‐Bri2sh retailers, like MAKE UP FOR EVER and Lululemon embrace the Bri2sh theme with window-‐displays and in-‐store ac2vi2es
