If there is paper on the floor, pick it up and put in the trash or recycle bin
Bathroom Behavior

• Do your business while minding your own business• Do not look under the bathroom stalls • Do not climb on or under the stalls • Wash your hands before leaving the bathroom and
throw paper towels in the trash
• The bathroom is not a place to visit friends
In the library

• Use a shelf marker while looking• Use library computers quickly and quietly• Find a book, pick a spot and read quietly• Ask an adult for help

Assemblies
• Walk to assemblies facing forward with hands to your sides and voices off
• Sit with your class facing the performance • Laugh and clap at the right times• Keep your hands and feet to yourselves• Do not talk or goof around during the
performances
Before lunch
• Wash your hands• Walk to the lunchroom facing forward

• Say please and thank you to the lunchroom servers
In the lunchroom
• Sit at your grade-level tables
• Sit at the “peanut free table” with a friend if you are allergic to peanuts
• Do not save spots
• When you pick a spot to eat, you cannot change it
While eating lunch…
• Use indoor voices while talking to friends at your table
• Eat your own lunch and do not share or trade lunch items
• Try to eat at least half of your lunch
• Raise your hand and wait for an adult if you need help or want to leave the table
Leaving the lunchroom
• An adult will dismiss you
• Clean up your area including the floor and other items if asked
• Throw trash into bins
• Stack up hot lunch trays carefully• Walk to recess facing forward with
hands to your sides and voices off
At the end of the day
• Collect your things in the classroom• Walk through the halls slowly, facing
forward with hands to your sides, using a quiet voice
• Gather items from your coat hook and exit the building quickly
Going Home
• Cross the streets only at the corners• Check in at home before coming back
to school to play• Remember we are “Kind, Safe and
Respectful” to our classmates and neighborhood as we walk home

What we wear on warm days
• You have the choice to wear a jacket
• Girls should wear shorts underneath their skirts
• Tennis shoes or casual shoes protect your feet better than wearing flip flops
What we wear on cool days without snow
• Wear a jacket or sweat shirt
• Tennis shoes or casual shoes protect your feet better than wearing flip flops
What we wear in snow
• Wear a winter coat, hat and mittens
• Everyone must wear boots
• K-3 must wear snowpants everywhere on the playground
• 4 & 5 may play on the plowed areas without snowpants
Blacktop• You must stay on the playground side of the
yellow line near the parking lot• You must stay away from the sheds and
dumpsters

• Slide on your bottom, facing forward
• Do not slide head first
• Do not push others down the slides
• No running up or down the slides
• Do not jump off the side of the slides
• Move to the side after you slide
Safe on the Glider
• If you cannot reach the glider, you are not big enough to ride the glider
• Wait your turn• No skipping in line• Glide with feet down, no upside-down gliding• Do not hang onto other students while they
are playing on the glider• Do not sit on top
Safe on the Teeter Totter
• Wait your turn
• No skipping in line
• Sit on your bottom on a seat
• The middle is not a seat
• No standing anywhere on the teeter totter
• No jumping off the teeter totter
• Only soft balls will be allowed on the playground
• Balls can be thrown against the wall between the doors
• Do not kick the ball against the wall• No swinging on the tetherball• Tell an adult if your ball goes into the parking
lot, do not chase it yourself • Place balls in the bin at the end of recess

• You can bring your baseball glove to use with a tennis ball
