Apprentice Lecture at Southampton UniversitySponsored by the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, this annual event was attended by over 200 apprentices, students of naval architecture & design, and key marine industry representatives. Sue Grant from Berthon led a panel discussing how efficient build practice can prevent survey howlers when boats eventually come up for sale; Andy Claughton gave students an insight into the renowned Wolfson Unit’s projects; and Robert Braithwaite explained in his typically humble fashion how hard work, ambition and determination is the key to success. Berthon is proud to continue supporting marine industry apprenticeships and has recently won the following awards:
