• Share the experience of Ecuador on how, through a "Case Study", we can quantified that the use of standards generates considerable benefits for organizations, the market and society.
• The case study shows how a private company supports national priorities through the use of standards such as IEC International Standards
Background
• A case study allows the identification and quantification of the microeconomics of the benefits of the standards, for example the economic contribution of the use of standards for the company´s profit under study, or the cost/income of them.
• The company selected in the pilot project of Ecuador was INATRA S.A. a power transformer factory, which has more than 43 years in the country's electricity market.
