Angle Facts Angles form when two rays meet at a common endpoint. The meeting point of two rays is called the vertex.
Angles are named either by one letter assigned to the vertex (∠G) or three letters with the vertex in the center and the other two letters denoting the rays (∠RGH).
Angles are measured in units called degrees.
