Gluggafoss Waterfall
Gluggafoss or Window Falls
is one of several waterfalls
found along the Merkjá
River
The palagonite bedrock is a
relatively soft rock and the
river has eroded this to
create arches and tunnels
and a series of "windows"
which give the falls its
