We!are!seeking!two!of!Physiotherapists!for!the!Australian!Maccabiah!Team.!!The!Physiotherapist!role!represents!a!special!opportunity!for!suitably!trained!and!experienced!professionals!to!be!a!part!of!a!team!of!Physiotherapists!and!provide!best!practice!injury!management!and!physiotherapy!support!to!the!Australian!Maccabiah!Team,!and!with!them!participate!in!the!most!wonderful!three!weeks!–!celebrating!sport,!Israel,!and!friendship.!The!Maccabiah!is!a!life!experience!not!to!be!missed.!!
The!Maccabi!organisation!in!Australia!has!a!proud!history!of!developing!Jewish!sport!and!has!been!sending!a!team!to!the!Maccabiah!since!1950.!Importantly!Maccabi!Australia!is!a!Zionist!sports!organisation!and!is!focused!on!strengthening!its!links!with!Israel!and!the!Jewish!community!generally.!!

Reporting!to!the!Head!Physiotherapist,!the!Team!Physiotherapist!role!is!for!professionals!willing!to!volunteer!their!time!in!support!of!an!amazing!experience.!!The!Physiotherapists!will!actively!support!the!Australian!Maccabiah!Team!values!and!culture!to!bring!the!best!prepared,!best!planned!and!best!ever!team!to!Israel!in!2017.!!The!Team!Physiotherapists!will!need!to:!!! PRIMARY+PURPOSE+OF+THE+ROLE+
The!primary!purpose!of!the!Physiotherapist!role!is!to!deliver!industry!best!physiotherapy!services!in!cooperation!with!the!Head!Physiotherapist.!!The!role!is!responsible!for!ensuring!the!delivery!of!efficient!and!effective!physiotherapy!services,!injury!treatment!and!management!to!the!Australian!Maccabiah!Team!including!assessment!and!diagnosis!of!injury,!treatment!and!welfare.!!

Qualifications:++
!! Minimum!of!university!qualified!in!Applied!Science!(Physiotherapy)!or!equivalent.!!! A!post!graduate!qualification!in!Sports!Physiotherapy!is!desirable,!or!qualified!at!postgraduate!level!in!
manipulative!therapy!or!exercise!rehabilitation!or!hold!title!of!APA!Sports!Physiotherapist.!!! Current!registered!and!practicing!Physiotherapist!!!! Recognised!First!Aid!and!CPR!certification.!
