Associated Students Incorporated (ASI) Statement of Purpose0 Associated Students Incorporated is a non-profit auxiliary which exists to support the
educational mission of CSU Channel Islands. 0 ASI facilitates learning and development through integrative and co-curricular approaches 0 Identifies and responds to major student issues and initiatives0 Implements sound business practices which uphold the fiduciary responsibility associated with
the management of student fees 0 Funds the operation and facility of the CI Student Union
ASI Board of Directors0 The Board of Directors is comprised of nine students, three University Administrators,
one University Faculty member, and one community member.0 The ASI Board is responsible for the oversight and management of ASI, which includes
the allocation of ASI funds.
BASC
0Budget Allocation and Spending Committee (BASC)0 The BASC was created as a committee of the ASI Board of Directors
tasked to oversee the process of ASI budget requests.
0 The BASC is comprised of six ASI Board Members—four students and two non-students.
0 The BASC presents all budgets to the ASI Board who can either approve, amend, or deny the budget requests.

Present to ASI Board Thursday March 6, 2014 @7:40 AM Student Union - Coville Conference Room
BASC will inform requesters of 2014-2015 budgets by March 20, 2014 (if allocations approved by ASI)

You are required to turn in the BASC procedures signed acknowledgement with your budget packet.
