NON-RECYCLABLEITEMS

What will happen if you don’t recycle?

It’s easy. In fact, it’s right on your doorstop and doesn’t take much time or effort. It’s cleaner. Recycling is collected weekly, other rubbish isn’t, and so it’ll be taken away sooner. It’s nicer for your local environment and your community.

How does recycling benefit me?

How do I get started?

Most people recycle their rubbish – thanks to those of you that are doing your bit. But sadly, a few people aren’t doing all they could be, and could have to pay a fixed penalty of £100 or appear in court.

When people put recyclable materials in

our general rubbish bins

This means we have less to spend on services for your community, like schools,

housing and social services

It may also have an impact on the amount of

Council Tax you pay

Most people already recycle their rubbish. If

you’re not, now’s the time to get started

We lose out on the money from selling the

valuable materials

We also pay more to get rid of these materials that could have been recycled
