The Transfiguration of the Lord August 6, 2017
Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother, John,
and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
And he was transfigured before them;
his face shone like the sun
and his clothes became white as light.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them,
conversing with him.

The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy is prayed Monday through Friday mornings at 8:25 am in the Blessed
Sacrament Chapel.
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole
world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
Spirituality - Come and Be Refreshed!
WHEN THINGS SEEM to be going all wrong, stop and affirm your trust in Me, and leave
them in My capable hands. Then, simply do you the next thing. Stay in touch with Me
through thankful, trusting prayers, resting in My sovereign control. Rejoice in Me - exult
in the God of your salvation! As you trust in Me, I make your feet like the feet of a deer. I
enable you to walk and make progress upon your high places of trouble, suffering, or
responsibility.

Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of
Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O Good Jesus, hear me. Within Thy wounds hide me.
Suffer me not to be separated from thee. From the malignant enemy defend me. In the hour of my death call
me. And bid me come unto Thee, That with all Thy saints, I may praise thee Forever and ever.
Amen.
We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to be in the true presence of Our Lord within our Chapel. If you are interested
in committing to one hour of Adoration, please contact Bill McDowell at 404-906-1598 or [email protected]
Fiesta de la Transfiguración del Señor
REFLEXION - EVANGELIO Mt 17:1-9
Tú estás habituado a escucharla, tal vez a leerla, y quizá a meditarla.

Our Altar Prayer List Please take note: Important Policy Change regarding those to be prayed for during Mass. We would like to remind all in the
Parish that in the Narthex, there is a
Book of Intentions which holds the
names of those who are ill or otherwise in need of
our prayers. Every weekend, this Book of
Intentions is placed upon the Altar and the
congregation is requested to pray for those who are
inscribed within the book.
We have changed the policy of accepting names for
those to be announced to be prayed for at the
Masses during the weekend.
During the week prior to the weekend, you may
contact the Parish Office to have someone
prayed for at Mass. Please Note: for a variety
of reasons, privacy included, we can only accept
requests from a member of the immediate
family (parents, spouse, children or siblings)
We also request that you leave your name and
contact information. The person to be prayed
for shall be announced publicly at all the
weekend Masses and also inscribed in the Book
of Intentions in order to accommodate every
request.
Those whose names are submitted will remain
on the Altar List for a period of no longer than
one month, unless we are notified to remove
the name . The Altar Prayer List will be
refreshed every last Thursday of every month.
After this time if we are not advised of the
status, we will remove the name unless a family
member contacts the Parish Office to request
the name be re-enrolled for the next month.
The names in the Book of Intentions shall
remain indefinitely and will continue to be
prayed for upon the Altar.
Contact information for the submission of
names: Terry Duffey in the Parish Office at
770-887-9861 or 404 -252-4513 or
If you have any concerns or questions regarding this
change of procedure for the reading of those to be
prayed for, please contact Terry Duffey in the Parish
Office at 770-887-9861 or [email protected].

All-powerful and ever-living God,
when Abraham left his native land
and departed from his people
you kept him safe through all his journeys.
Protect these soldiers.
Be their constant companion
and their strength in battle,
their refuge in every adversity.
Guide them, O Lord,
that they may return home in safety.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Pray for Our Military - They are always prepared and ready to defend and protect us.
A Prayer for Soldiers
Brave warriors, should fate find us in battle, may our
cause be just. May our leaders have clear vision. May
our courage not falter. May we be triumphant and earn
victory as we show mercy to our enemies. May our
efforts bring lasting peace. May our sacrifice be always
appreciated by those we serve. May we return to our
loved ones unharmed. Should we be harmed, may our
wounds heal. Should we perish in the struggle, may God
embrace us and find for us a place in His Kingdom.
