MRP – General Statement
• Note: throughout this module often there is more detailed information or explanation on the students pages versus the instructors side of the page. As a general suggestion when preparing for the class make sure you review/read both sides of the material, students and instructors pages.
Session One: Master Planning of Resources
• For the most part this session has been re-organized, added several discussion questions and general update of the course content.

Session Two: Forecasting Demand
• More detail included in the means to support/manage the forecast than was included previously.

Session Three: Demand Management and Customer Service
• Much of the material covered in this session was previously there and/or came from the previous version’s session 8.
• CRM section is new to this module• Lead time interval is also new to this session• Instructor hints
Session Four: Distribution Planning
• Much of this session is new to the program and like the previous session some of the material came from the previous version session 8.

Session Five: Sales and Operations Planning
• Most of the material is similar to the previous revision.
• The session contains a number of class discussions and exercises for the students

Session Six: S&OP and Master Scheduling
• Major focus of this session is the disaggregation of S&OP to MS, with much time spent on the different manufacturing environments and calculations contained in the MS process.

Session Seven: Managing the Master Schedule
• This session contains elements of the last revision from sessions 6, 7 and 8.
• The major addition to the materials, in addition to updating the previous materials, is APS (Advance Planning & Scheduling) has been expanded.

Session Eight: Case Studies and Review Activity
• The case studies are a new addition to this module. There are three case studies in total, each with a different focus for the students to apply.
