Fr. Conley concelebrated newly ordained Fr. Paul Wargovich’s First Mass at Corpus Christi Parish in East Sandwich. Fr. Wargovich is the newest member of the Lifers Club (4 years in the College Seminary and 4 years in the Major Seminary). The last person to enter the Lif-ers Club was.... Fr. Conley!
Fr. Conley receiving Fr. Marcos’ first blessing. Marcos Enrique was the Admissions Director of North Cambridge Catholic High School, now known as Cristo Rey Boston, for 8 years. Fr. Conley attended North Cambridge Catholic and was a Senior when the now Father Enrique became admissions director.

Last Sunday, I was happy to be present again for the 51st Annual Lt.
Paul J. Sullivan Scholarship award ceremony. Of the 9 finalists this
year, 5 of them represented our Parishes and we are very proud.
Christopher Iannetta, a true ‘Collaborative’ member, having received
First Holy Communion at Sacred Heart and Confirmation at Saint
Patrick’s, was awarded the night’s top Scholarship. I was honored to
write one of his letters of recommendation.
Chris is a smart and gifted young man who has a bright future. We
wish him well as he enters his final weeks of Senior year and prepares
for College in the Fall. Congratulations Chris!
We also congratulate the other finalists from our Collaborative who
also received scholarships; Katie Garside, Nick McDermott, Catherine
Connors, and Gabriella Venezia.
May God bless each of these High School seniors as they prepare for
the next chapter of their lives. May God grant them peace, health,
and faith-filled perseverance.

6th Sunday of Easter
Religion can be a lot like a diet. Every so often something
comes along that captures people’s attention and becomes
the fad of the month. It’s guaranteed to make you better
and stronger, and help you achieve your goals with almost
no effort at all. If you don’t do it, you will be missing
something in your life. Your life will be miserable, or
worthless, or below average—some expression that will
make you want to join or try the newest craze. Jesus knows that His Body, the Church, needs two things
to survive: love and unity. Love joins us to the heart of
Christ, acting towards others as He would. When that
unity is threatened, the Apostles act to spell out what is
necessary to be part of the Church so that both Jew and
gentile can be united at the table of the Lord. When love
and unity are present, the Lord makes His dwelling. Where
two or three are gathered in His Name, God is present. Unity joins us to the mind of Christ, giving us a common
practice that helps us preach and teach the Gospel. We are
united because of love, and love unites us together. We
must work together to achieve our mission, united in faith
yet diversified in gifts. Division serves no purpose. There
is no fad, no shortcut, no easy way to live the Gospel. Live
and love, united as one with the Lord.
